Daily inspection and maintenance of the excavator's air conditioning system is essential to ensure its normal operation. The following is a detailed introduction to the daily inspection and maintenance of the notes.
Refrigerant quantity inspection
· Inspection contents
Use the manifold pressure gauge to confirm whether the refrigerant quantity in the system is sufficient. A manifold pressure gauge is a professional inspection tool that can accurately measure the pressure in the air conditioning system to determine whether the amount of refrigerant is appropriate. If you find that the amount of refrigerant is obviously insufficient, do not blindly add refrigerant, but first carefully find out if there are leaks in the system. You can find leaks by observing whether there are oil stains on the connecting parts of the system and using a professional leak detector.
· Problems that may be caused by insufficient inspection
Insufficient refrigerant will lead to poor cooling, so that the temperature inside the cab cannot be effectively reduced, affecting the driver's working comfort. At the same time, insufficient refrigerant may also lead to insufficient oil return to the compressor, causing the compressor to wear out and seize due to lack of lubrication, which seriously affects the normal operation of the air conditioning system. Once the compressor is damaged, the maintenance cost is high, and will affect the normal use of excavators.
The compressor clutch parts inspection
· Inspection content
Confirm whether the wiring harness connection of the compressor is normal, check whether the wiring harness is broken, loose and so on. At the same time, check whether there is mud, sand, soil and other attachments at the clutch. If there is any mud or dirt, clean the clutch area in a timely manner.
· Problems that may be caused by insufficient spot checks
Poor connection of the wire harness will cause the compressor not to work properly, and there may be faults such as compressor not starting, intermittent work, etc., which will affect the cooling effect of the air conditioner. Sediment adhering to the clutch-related parts will accelerate the wear of the parts and even lead to wear of the main shaft seal, triggering problems such as refrigerant leakage and further affecting the performance of the air-conditioning system.
Inspection of internal/external air filters
· Inspection contents
Check the cleanliness of the inner/outer air filters and observe whether there is a large amount of dust and debris accumulated on the filters. For dusty or unclean filter mesh, it should be cleaned or replaced in time.
· Problems that may arise from insufficient spot checks
Excessive accumulation of dust on the filter will result in weakened airflow, affecting the cooling or heating effect of the air conditioner. In serious cases, the accumulation of dust may also lead to the deformation of the filter, allowing dust to invade the inside of the evaporator box, causing the evaporator to become clogged. This will not only affect the normal operation of the air conditioning system, but also cause harm to the user's health, because the dust may contain bacteria, viruses and other harmful substances.
Condenser Core Inspection
· Contents of inspection
Check the cleanliness of the condenser core to see if there is dust or foreign matter on the surface of the core. Clean the core body with more dust and foreign matter in time, and use professional cleaning agent or high-pressure air gun to clean it.
· Problems that may be caused by insufficient inspection
Foreign matter adhering to the core for a long time is prone to corrosion and leakage, resulting in refrigerant loss. At the same time, the core blockage will affect the heat dissipation effect and make the system pressure too high, which will lead to the problem of poor refrigeration and seriously affect the performance of the air conditioning system. Moreover, the damage to the condenser core body has a high repair cost, which will increase the cost of use.
Initial idling implementation
· Point inspection content
When the air conditioner is not used for a long time, if it is used again, the air conditioner must be turned on with the engine idling and kept running for more than 5 minutes before it can be accelerated again. It is recommended that vehicles that have not been used for more than 7 days do this when the air conditioner is turned on again.
· Problems caused by insufficient checking
Insufficient blending of refrigerant and compressor oil may occur if initial idling is not performed. At high speeds, the compressor oil will be pressed out sharply and will not be able to return to the compressor efficiently, causing the compressor to seize due to lack of oil, resulting in damage to the air conditioning system.
In short, regular inspection and maintenance of excavator's air conditioning system, timely detection and resolution of potential problems, can ensure the normal operation of the air conditioning system, improve the service life and efficiency of excavators, reduce maintenance costs.
